The low-profile semi-trailer has no railings on board and is used for a wide range of applications, mainly for medium and long distance freight transport. The frame of the series semi-trailer is of the through-beam type, with the longitudinal beam being of the flat and live gooseneck type. The web height ranges from 400mm to 550mm, the longitudinal beam is welded by automatic submerged arc welding, the frame is shot blasted and the cross beam is welded into the longitudinal beam as a whole. Tandem dry plate springs and suspension supports are used to support the load with high rigidity and strength.
Lowbed semi-trailer is usually used to transport heavy vehicles (such as tractors, buses, special purpose vehicles, etc.), rail vehicles, mining machines forestry machines, agricultural machines (such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, pavers, cranes, etc.) and other heavy-duty goods, the lower its centre of gravity, the better its stability and safety, and the stronger its ability to transport super-high goods and pass overhead obstacles.
When loading machinery and equipment onto a lowbed semi-trailer, the machinery and equipment is usually loaded from the rear end of the semi-trailer, i.e. by moving the machinery and equipment from the rear wheel carrier or by removing the wheels and then fixing the machinery and equipment to the semi-trailer. The travel structure of the lowbed semi-trailer is made of high-strength international steel, which makes the vehicle lightweight and guarantees its resistance to twisting, vibrations and bumps, as well as its ability to carry different road surfaces.
