Low-bed semitrailer is usually used to transport heavy vehicles (such as tractors, buses, special vehicles, etc.), rail vehicles, mining machinery, forestry machinery, engineering machinery (such as excavators, bulldozers, loaders, pavers, cranes, etc.) and other heavy cargo.The lower its centre of gravity, the better its stability and safety, and the stronger its ability to transport super-high cargo and pass overhead obstacles.
Structure:
The low-profile semi-trailer usually adopts a concave beam (or well) frame, with the front part of the frame being the gooseneck (the towing pin in the front part of the gooseneck is connected to the towing saddle on the tractor, and the rear end of the gooseneck is connected to the semi-trailer frame), the middle part being the cargo platform (the lowest part of the frame), and the rear end being the wheel frame (with wheels).
Loading:
When machinery and equipment is loaded onto a flatbed semi-trailer, it is usually loaded from the rear of the semi-trailer, i.e. by moving the machinery and equipment from the top of the rear wheel frame or by removing the wheels and then securing the machinery and equipment to the semi-trailer.
